Beadful Studio
About Beadful Studio
Beadful Studio is a small independent studio — one maker, not a company — building a Perler and fuse bead pattern maker that runs entirely inside your browser.
Who builds this
Beadful Studio is the work of a single maker who has spent years making fuse bead projects and kept running into the same problem: turning a picture into a usable pattern was slow and fiddly. Existing tools either upload your photo to a server, guess at brand color codes, or hand you a grid with no way to know how many beads to buy.
So Beadful was built to fix that specific gap: real color codes for the brands people actually own, a per-color bead count, and image processing that stays on your own machine. It is built and maintained as an independent project, and it is still being refined as more people make bead projects with it.
How the patterns are tested
Every guide on this site is written from actual use of the tool, not from the marketing page. Concretely, that means:
- the screenshots in the tutorials are real captures of the current interface, not mockups;
- the bead counts in the examples are the counts the tool actually produces for those images;
- the pegboard sizes mentioned (29×29 and multiples) are the real board layouts, not estimates;
- when a control changes, the guide is re-shot and re-checked before it says so.
If a guide looks out of date compared to what you see in the Studio, that is a bug on our side — please tell us and we will fix it.
How we handle your images
Photos you drop into the Studio are decoded and converted in your browser. They are never uploaded to a server, because there is no server-side image pipeline to upload them to. There is no account system, so there is no account to attach a photo to. The only data that leaves your browser is anonymous usage analytics, and the only data we hold about a purchase is what PayPal gives us.
How this site earns money
Beadful Studio is funded by export credits. Turning a photo into a pattern, editing beads, and previewing the result are open to everyone at no cost; producing print-ready files (pegboard pages, a color chart, a shopping list) uses a credit. We do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not run affiliate links inside the tutorials.
That is also why the guides stay open to everyone: if a tutorial only made sense for people who had already bought credits, it would be a worse tutorial.
Editorial policy
- Guides are written and updated by the person who built the tool.
- When a Studio feature changes, the affected guide is updated and its "last updated" date is changed.
- No guide is written to rank for a search term; they exist because the question was asked.
- Corrections are always welcome, including to older guides.
